Countdown to vacation!

Twas the day before Christmas Eve and all through the office
Excitement was stirring , even with the big bosses
The gifts were all stacked in the conference room with care
In hopes that 12:30 soon would be here...

I love Christmas! It is one of my favorite times of year, and today is the last day I am at work until after Christmas!

I am looking forward to spending time with family, baking, eating, and relaxing (I wish Christmas was on a Friday every year!).

Our schedule is as follows:

Tonight: Bake a boatload, finish my wrapping and finishing my parent's homemade gift. Hubby is out with his HS buddies and then home to help.

Tomorrow: Wake up late-ish, hit the foodstore for some cheese for a crackers and cheese platter, pack up our sleigh and head to Newton to visit my grandparents, picking up my cousin at the bus station along the way. Then go home and relax with some eggnog and Irish Creme and the Grinch!

Christmas Day: Wake up about 7 and do presents, while watching the 24 hours of Christmas Story on TBS. Then shower, dress and pack up for the trips ahead! First stop, my grandma in Holliston and my family (who meet us there). I am looking forward to a great visit with my parents, who we really need to see more. I was going to go visit my Grampy's grave, but with the snow, we probibly won't be able to get up the hill, so I think that could be out. Then it is off to East Bridgewater to my sister and brother in laws' house for Christmas with my in-laws. Where we get to give toys to our adorable niece and drop off toys for little baby peanut. (our soon to be niece or nephew!!! Coming June 26th, 2010!) We also get to see our Brother in Law's family who are awesome! Then as tradition, we go to my husband's Aunt and Uncles' house for their annual Christmas gathering. There we will distribute the gifts for the cousin's little ones. (One is one years old and one is due on New Years Day!)

After that we head home to colapse in front of our lit christmas tree to enjoy a quiet weekend at home! (Maybe seeing Sherlock Holmes, but not doing much more than that!)

Looking for a good Concert?

So the past few years I have been to some AWESOME concerts. But lately I have been jonesing for another U2 calliber tour to come around to Boston. Sure, I actually saw U2 in concert in September (and if I could I would go again in an instant! I love the guys.) and since then I have wanted to be in the presence of concert awesomeness.

I was going to see the Reverend Al Green play the House of Blues, but that was the day I had the begining of guests coming in for the wedding! (Although I have always wondered how Can't Get Next to You sounds live. )

One of the bands to open for U2 starting the city after ours was a British rock band, Muse. I was bummed out to hear that their tour schedule had them overseas for the majority of 2o1o... or so I thought. It was like a early birthday present, when Mr. Nacho informed me that they were going to be playing at the Garden in March! He asked me if I wanted tickets, and of course I said "Heck yeah!!!"

Why see Muse?

Because you are paying to see a really great show. The music is incredible. The performance is excelent. And if you aren't dancing, well, something is wrong with you!

We saw them in 2007 at the Aganis Arena and there was not one person that was not having a good time. You are getting more than the price of admission.

Also, this time they aren't having a horrible opening band. They are having the Silversun Pickups as openers! If you like Smashing Pumpkins, you will like Silversun Pickups!

So if you want to see a concert that will entertain you and is well worth every penny that you are spending in a tough economy such as this, then please... spend your money to see Muse.

We will be there! And you can bet I will be dancing!

Frustrating....

Dear Microsoft,

I am a HUGE fan of X-Box 360. In fact we were so pleased with the X-Box 360, we decided to stick with it for Rockband and invested in the Beatles version!

I was really excited about the downloadable content of the game... I mean, by the end I should be able to play the entire Beatles Catalogue! As a Beatles fan that is awesome.

However, my husband has been attempting to establish contact with our server and is not able to, despite following all your directions... FOR HOURS!!!!

All we are trying to do is give you our money and get some songs!

We didn't have this problem with the Playstation 3. You don't want to fall behind Sony in our house's popularity contest, do you? I didn't think so.... so please make it easier for your Internets to work.

Thank you.

Sincerely,
Mrs. Nacho

P.S. That red rings of death happens again, I am selling everything back and buying the games for our new system. Capishe?

Welcome!

So post wedding I have missed blogging and having time to blog, now that the frantic holiday season is almost over, I am about ready to embark on the blogging journey again. This time, just to muse about daily life as a married woman, gaming, baking, crafting and travel. I have to say, I am excited to get back into writing and look forward to what the new year is going to bring my new husband and I.

For those who may have missed it, A Very Nacho Wedding was our wedding blog!
