British Invasion?

Saturday, the Mr. and I had a date night to see Muse at the Boston Garden. We grabbed some food and drink at a local bar and made our way over to the show.

I mentioned before that Muse was one of the BEST concerts I have ever seen.

Wow. This time blew the first concert out of the water.

The openers, the Silversun Pickups were good. It actually made me want to hear the latest album. Their radio single sounds like the worst thing on the album. They are a good band and remind me of Smashing Pumpkins.

Then after about 15 minutes of waiting..... BOOM!!!! The show began and we were up and dancing, taking a break to sit for the slower songs (which were few and far between) and they rocked the garden for a solid two hours.... Playing EVERYTHING from their new album and all their hits. Their 4 song finale ended with my personal favorite song, Knights of Cydonia.

Also the lead singer rocked robin's egg blue pants... You have to be secure in your masculinity to rock pants that color.

Somehow they were better than the first time. It was incredible and the energy they brought was only matched by the thousands of people in the crowd.

We paid $53 a ticket and I never I think we should have paid more. This time is different. I feel we cheated them money wise. We will go out of our way to see them every time they are in town.

Amazing. I wish they were playing Boston again... Soon.

Looking for a good Concert?

So the past few years I have been to some AWESOME concerts. But lately I have been jonesing for another U2 calliber tour to come around to Boston. Sure, I actually saw U2 in concert in September (and if I could I would go again in an instant! I love the guys.) and since then I have wanted to be in the presence of concert awesomeness.

I was going to see the Reverend Al Green play the House of Blues, but that was the day I had the begining of guests coming in for the wedding! (Although I have always wondered how Can't Get Next to You sounds live. )

One of the bands to open for U2 starting the city after ours was a British rock band, Muse. I was bummed out to hear that their tour schedule had them overseas for the majority of 2o1o... or so I thought. It was like a early birthday present, when Mr. Nacho informed me that they were going to be playing at the Garden in March! He asked me if I wanted tickets, and of course I said "Heck yeah!!!"

Why see Muse?

Because you are paying to see a really great show. The music is incredible. The performance is excelent. And if you aren't dancing, well, something is wrong with you!

We saw them in 2007 at the Aganis Arena and there was not one person that was not having a good time. You are getting more than the price of admission.

Also, this time they aren't having a horrible opening band. They are having the Silversun Pickups as openers! If you like Smashing Pumpkins, you will like Silversun Pickups!

So if you want to see a concert that will entertain you and is well worth every penny that you are spending in a tough economy such as this, then please... spend your money to see Muse.

We will be there! And you can bet I will be dancing!
